Note: ‘Albanese 2’, ‘Albanese radio Tirana 1’, ‘Albanese sentimental 1’, ‘Albanese sentimental 2’ and ‘Albanian dance Kosovo’ were originally transcribed by Dutch ethnomusicologist and musician Wouter Swets, while listening to low-fi FM radio broadcasts of Radio Tirana in the 1960s and 1970. Because of Albania’s isolationist policies during the communist era (1946–1991), this was the only way for foreigners like him to build an Albanian repertoire. See the notes of the album Üçayak by Swets’ ensemble Čalgija for more information.
